BENGGARA II TARAKAN BASIN

HYDROCARBON PROSPECT EVALUATION

The Bengara II is an open area located in Tarakan Sub-basin, North eastern part of Kalimantan with total area 2442 sq km.  Hydrocarbon occurences surrounding the Block in Tarakan subbasin area shown by oil and gas field located in the onshore of Tarakan and Bunyu Island such as Bunyu, Pamusian, Juata, Sesanip and Mengatai fields.  This suggest that this area still has some remaining petroleum prospectivity. Hydrocabon accumulation in this block is maily found within Middle to Late Miocene deltaic deposits with the minor exception that the Pliocene Tarakan Formation is oil productive.

PT. Patra Nusa Data is currently conducting Hydrocarbon Study in the area. The evaluation report consist of Block location, availability data, regional geology, Well Post Mortem Analysis, Petrophysical , Geochemical Analysis, Geophysical Analysis, Leads Prospects Identification and Speculative Resources. The Bengara II Block has 163 of 2D seismic lines with approximately total length 3457 km.
